Anna Wise is a Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. She is best known for her work with Kendrick Lamar, a regular collaborator on all of his albums. The Feminine: Act II, a celebration of womanhood, is her second studio release.

Anna Wise's new record The Feminine: Act II is richer and more ambitious than Act I, and it's easy to ignore its flaws as it triumphantly evolves into an electro-soul-R&B-funk spacewalk or even, at times, some kind of Erykah Badu-Natalie Prass-Zero 7 cross hybrid. It's an electronic album that feels more organic than manufactured and possesses a clearly defined voice in Wise, a mist of fresh air that is all of sexy, haunting, and intensely captivating. Standout tracks include "Coconuts," "On The Highway," and "Balance In All." The beats are slow to mid-tempo and although stylish and delicate, succeeds largely because of the splendid and inspiring performance by Wise. The Feminine: Act II has a strange magic to it, and the greatest experience anyone can derive from this album comes through by simply hearing it.
