Virus Syndicate is a band based out of Manchester, England. Members include DJ Mark One, MCs Goldfinger, JSD and Nika D. Symptomatic is their sixth studio album release. “We wanted to make an album that painted pictures of reality, this album is a social commentary about how we feel and see the world around us. This is the only album since our debut that has nearly all been produced, mixed and arranged in-house and we feel Symptomatic has took us back to our story telling roots and to what actually inspired us to do music in the first place. The themes in this album range from comedy to depression, suffering from anxiety, cheating on your girlfriend to social angst, growing up broke, to revolution and change.. We are really excited about finally sharing this.” Nika D

Symptomatic is stylish and thrilling in a way that a record loaded with grime, rock, electro, hip-hop, drum & bass, dubstep and trap music intensified with hard-boiled lyrics can seldom be. What makes the record so absorbing and compelling is the superb rapping and imposing beats. It's a full, thick sound that pounds with piercing energy. It's immensely entertaining and unabashedly ballsy. There were just a few songs I couldn't really get into but overall it's pretty solid throughout. Symptomatic is a real treat - cool, brash, relentless and devastatingly potent. Standout tracks include "Do Suttin,"Rags (feat. Cutline),"Wanna Be Me," and "Questions & Answers."
