Alt-J is a band from Leeds, England that formed in 2007. Members include Joe Newman (guitar, lead vocals), Thom Sonny Green (drums) and Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards, vocals). Relaxer is their third studio album release.

When compared to Alt-J's previous work, Relaxer is so forgettable that it comes across feeling like an empty shell. The songs collapse under weak songwriting. This lack of payoff, along with zero creativity, is the real flaw in a record that ultimately crashes and burns, as if the band was purposely trying to test the patience and temper of their fans. The record is so bad there's little room for potential as it's enmeshed in a sea of disappointment and poor execution. Easily the summer's feeblest highly anticipated releases, Relaxer is so bereft of any memorable moments that I can't even remember the name of the one song I actually thought was decent. Don't even bother.
