Leslie Feist, known as Feist, is a singer-songwriter from Canada who is also associated with the indie-rock supergroup Broken Social Scene. Pleasure is her fifth solo album.

Since I didn't care too much for 2011's Metals, my expectations for Feist's new album were pretty low. I'm excited to say that after hearing Pleasure a few times through it certainly ranks right up there with 2007's Reminder. Pleasure has an unapologetically adventurous purity about it that transcends what would ordinarily be your standard indie pop fare and after only a couple of songs in, my confidence in the new record only heightened. In the end, it's a solid release that comes close to achieving perfection as it's well-crafted and utterly captivating. Some of my favorite tracks include "Pleasure," "I Wish I Didn't Miss You," "Get Not High, Get Not Low," "Any Party," and "A Man Is Not His Song." Highly recommended.
