Classixx is DJ duo Michael David and Tyler Blake from Los Angeles, California. Faraway Reach is their second studio release. Guest artists include De Lux, Passion Pit, Alex Frankel (Holy Ghost), How To Dress Well, Isles, T-Pain, Nonku, Harriet Brown and Panama.

Sometimes, one needs well-made, carefree entertainment to kick off the summer, and Faraway Reach delivers just that. The songs are buoyant and dancey, elevated with an exciting lineup of guest musicians who help provide an enjoyable mix of infectious melodies and unbridled bliss. There were a couple of songs I couldn't get into, such as Holy Ghost's "I Feel Numb" and T-Pain's auto-tuned "Whatever I Want." Other than those two tracks I found the rest of the album to be a pleasurable listening experience, like the breathless thrill you get from watching the sun set over the ocean. It left me feeling cheerful and loose-jointed. David and Blake display a charming enthusiasm for breezy electro-pop, rippling with elements of nu-disco, Balearic R&B, hip-hop and contemporary South African music. Faraway Reach is just one of those really fun records that you can fall right into. Standout tracks include "In These Fine Times (feat. De Lux)," "Safe Inside (feat. Passion Pit)," "Just Let Go (feat. How To Dress Well)," "The Dissolve (feat. Isles)" and "Eyes On Me (feat. Harriet Brown)."
