Thundercat, also known as Stephen Bruner, is a producer, singer and bass guitarist from Los Angeles, California. He is best known as the bass player from Suicidal Tendencies and his collaborative work with Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar. Drunk is his third studio album release and features artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Pharrell, Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald.

Thundercat's overstuffed but absorbing new album, Drunk, is a brilliant mess. You get the impression that every idea conceived in the studio somehow made its way onto the record. The combination of jazz fusion, electronic, R&B and far out lyrics help create a trippy atmosphere that's adventurous, ambitious and ingeniously whack. With so much to admire the music can sometimes be a bit overwhelming as it swings from fantastical highs to tedious lows. Despite its flaws Drunk is still genuinely unusual and inventive. It is the sort of album that comes along only occasionally, one so unconventional, extraordinary and perfectly weird it will blow your mind away. Some Standout tracks include "Uh Uh," "A Fan's Mail (Tron Song Suite II)," "Show You the Way" (featuring Michael McDonald & Kenny Loggins), "Them Changes," "Where I'm Going," and "Drink Dat" (featuring Wiz Khalifa).
