Beach Slang is a band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that formed in 2013. They broke up in the middle of a live performance back in April of this year but quickly rebounded after getting rid their drummer, JP Flexner. Current members include James Alex (vocals, guitar), Ed McNulty (bass) and Ruben Gallego (guitar). A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings is their second studio album release.

A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings is a satisfying follow-up to 2015's The Things We Do to Find People Who Feel Like Us, even if its frivolous title may keep some people beyond their teens who had never heard of the band at arm's length. While the music does flirt with garage pop, Beach Slang's new record offers songs that soar with potent energy that's more in line with 90's punk and alternative rock. They have a loud, full, melodic sound that's catchy and infectious. Beach Slang kind of reminds me of an arena version of The Hold Steady. Standout tracks include "Spin The Dial," "Art Damage," and "Hot Tramps."
