Having sold out a pre-party and post-party on July 4th during the Grateful Dead's 50th Anniversary Fare Thee Well shows in Chicago, Live for Live Music has added a third Pink Talking Fish show on July 5th. The show will act as a pre-party at Reggie's, which is less than a mile from Soldier Field, from 3pm-6pm. The July 4th shows sold out in hours, so make sure to get on tickets fast!
Pink Talking Fish have been making waves recently, on the back of sold out shows and jam packed festival appearances. Formed by founding Particle bassist Eric Gould, PTF performs a fusion of Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads, and Phish, creating completely unique set lists full of teases and seamless segues. In honor of the Grateful Dead’s 50th Anniversary, Pink Talking Fish will be incorporating some Grateful Dead favorites into the set list for the first and quite possibly only time.
Reggie’s is the only venue located within walking distance of Soldier Field for those of you coming after the Grateful Dead show, and there will be shuttle buses running back and forth to pick people up. Doors will be open at 2 PM.
Don't dare yee call Pink Talking Fish a cover band you mongrel. They're far more than their name may suggest to the surface critics. Pink Talking Fish are one of the most entertaining, musically sound, and wizards of transitions. They're by far one of the better bands we've had the pleasure of seeing and hope to catch many times more.
