Twin Shadow, also known as George Lewis Jr., is a singer from Brooklyn, New York. Eclipse is his third studio album release and first with label Warner Bros. If you were hoping for the return of the creative genius behind 2010’s Forget you best ready yourself to be emotionally embittered.

Eclipse is an unfortunate example of what can happen when a successful underground artist signs with a major label. Most of the tracks feel overproduced, tailored for mainstream pop radio. Did Frank Stallone co-write some of this material? I wonder. On the upside, this is the type of music that could easily garner Grammys. The music industry is fucked up like that. Track 8, "Old Love/New Love (feat. D'Angelo Lacy)", a song that was originally featured on the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack, is by far the best song on the entire record. The greater parts, however, feel emotionless and predictable and the vocal production at times just downright cheesy.
