Lord Huron is a band from Los Angeles, California. The band’s name was inspired by Lake Huron. Members include Ben Schneider (guitar, vocals), Mark Barry (percussion, vocals), Miguel Briseño (bass, keys, percussion), and Tom Renaud (guitar, vocals). Strange Trails is their second studio release.

For the most part, Strange Trails is lively folk music with great songwriting that’s both catchy and addicting. The end result is something hypnotic, seductive and possessing a certain charm that's all captivatingly pleasant. The whole album is pretty strong, but it's in the second half where things really start to get exciting. The record boasts many memorable tracks such as “Dead Man’s Hand,” “Hurricane,” “La Belle Fleur,” “Fool for Love,” “The World Ender,” “Meet Me in the Woods,”“Frozen Pines,” and “Louisa.” The record sounds something like Father John Misty meets War on Drugs.
